Updated 25th November. An exceptional cast has just been announced for the London Musical Theatre Orchestra's concert production of Alan Menken's A Christmas Carol at the Lyceum Theatre. Olivier Award-winner Robert Lindsay will star as Scrooge. Sisters-in-law Carrie Hope Fletcher and Giovanna Fletcher perform alongside each other for the first time, taking on the roles of Emily and Mrs Cratchit respectively.
Further casting includes Madalena Alberto (Evita) as the Ghost of Christmas Past, Hugh Maynard (Miss Saigon) as the Ghost of Christmas Present, Norman Bowman (Murder Ballad) as Jacob Marley, Peter Polycarpou (Les Miserables) as Mr Fezziwig, Gina Murray (Chicago) as Mrs Fezziwig and John Addison (The Go-Between) as Fred Anderson.

NOTE: the event was originally to be performed the Lyric Theatre but
in order to present this concert production to its fullest orchestral
capacity a creative decision was taken to move to the larger stage of
the Lyceum. Anyone who has purchased tickets for the Lyric will be
contacted by their point of purchase within the next week with details
of their re-allocated seats at the Lyceum
The London premiere of this Christmas classic gets the full Broadway treatment by the
Broadway team of Alan Menken (Beauty and the Beast, Little Mermaid),
Lynn Ahrens (Ragtime, Seussical) and Mike Ockrent (Crazy For You, Me and
My Girl).
Called by The New York Times "a tonic for adults, and for
children a transfixing journey," this spectacular musical extravaganza
ran for ten years at New York's Madison Square Garden.
