Full casting has been announced for the London transfer of Off-Broadway musical Yank! next month. The Second World War love story will play the Charing Cross Theatre from
Monday 3rd July until Saturday 19th August with a press night on Monday 10 th
July.
After starring in the show's premiere at Manchester’s Hope Mill Theatre, Scott Hunter (A Chorus Line, A Midsummer Night’s Dream) will return to the central role of Stu.
He will be joined by Andy Coxon (Beautiful – The Carole King Musical, 20th Century Boy – The Marc Bolan Musical) as Mitch, Waylon Jacobs (Memphis,We Will Rock You) as Sarge/Scarlet and Bradley Judge (Don’t Run, Sister Act) who will play Rotelli.
The rest of the company is completed by members of the original Manchester production: Benjamin Cupit who made his professional debut in the Hope Mill production; Lee Dillon-Stuart (Les Misérables); Chris Kiely (The Ladykillers); Kris Marc-Joseph (Anno Domini); Mark Paterson (Horrible Histories); Tom Pepper (The Mystery of Edwin Drood); and singer/actress Sarah-Louise Young (The Showstoppers).

Described as a ‘moving gay love story’, Yank! has a book and lyrics by David Zellnik and music by his brother Joseph. The musical debuted as a workshop production in 2005 as part of the New York Musical Theatre Festival. Following on from an award-winning full production in Brooklyn in 2007, the show made its Off-Broadway debut in 2010.
