Nominees and winners at 71st Tony Awards last night

Dear Evan Hansen and Hello Dolly dominated this year's Tony Awards, which were held last night at Radio City Music Hall in New York hosted by Kevin Spacey and featuring performances from Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda and last year's winner Cynthia Erivo.

The big winner of the night was Pasek and Paul's Dear Evan Hansen with six awards in total, including Best Musical and Best Actor in a Leading Role for Ben Platt. Hello Dolly took home four awards, including Best New Musical Revival and Best Actress for its leading lady Bette Midler.

JT Rogers' play Oslo, which has its UK premiere at the National Theatre in September, won Best Play, and Best Revival of a Play went to August Wilson's Jitney.

Nominated for seven awards, Tim Minchin's Groundhog Day came away empty handed. However British export The Play That Goes Wrong won Best Scenic Design of a Play. Other British winners included Gareth Fry and Pete Malkin, who received a Special Tony Award for outstanding Sound Design in Simon McBurney's The Encounter.
