Lulu to join 42nd Street cast next month

Pop singer  Lulu, will be taking over the role of Dorothy Brock from Sheena Easton for sixteen weeks beginning March 19th in the West End production of 42nd Street currently playing at Theatre Royal Drury Lane,

She last appeared in the West End  31 years ago in the short-lived The Mystery of Edwin Drood at the Savoy Theatre and prior to that took over in Andrew Lloyd Webber's solo show Song and Dance at the Palace Theatre. She played Adelaide in the tour of the National Theatre's production of Guys and Dolls which moved into the Prince of Wales.

Other news of cast changes on the 19th Ashley Day (Evita, Mary PoppinsThe Book of Mormon , American in Paris) is joining as Billy Lawlor taking over from Stuart Neal and Matthew Goodgame joins as Pat Denning taking over from Norman Bowman.  Tom Lister is staying as Julian Marsh and  Clare Halse carries on playing Peggy Sawyer.

Other cast members staying with the show include Jasna Ivir as 'Maggie Jones', Graeme Henderson as 'Andy Lee', Christopher Howell as Bert Barry' , Bruce Montague as 'Abner Dillon', Mark McKerracher as 'Mac/Doc/Thug' and Emma Caffrey is 'Anytime Annie'.

The March ensemble  will include Clare  Rickard,  Ella  Martine,  Hannah  Amin,  Lucy  Andic,  Sara  Bispham, Pamela  Blair,  Abi  Curruthers,  Danielle  Cato,  Lisa  Dent,  Natasha  Ferguson,  Madeleine  Francis,  Maria Garrett, Maddie Harper, Leah Harris, Rebecca Herszenhorn, Bethany Huckle, Sarah Kacey, Annie Kitchen, Jenny Legg, Hannah Faith Marram, Billie Kay, Katy Riches, Zoe  Rogers,  Jessica  Stent,  Josephina Camble, Gabrielle  Cocca,  Emma  Johnson,   Jasmine  Kerr, Lucy  Renouf, Christina  Shard,  Freddie  Clements,  Martin McCarthy, Zac Watts, Steph Parry,  Thomas Audibert, George Beet, Philip Bertioli, Joel Cooper, Matt Cox, Adam Denman,  Luke  George,  Ryan  Gover,  Alyn  Hawke,  Tom  Partridge,  James Royden-Lyley and Liam Wrate.
