Rebecca Trehearn to join Marc Elliott in Sweet Charity

Olivier Award-winner Rebecca Trehearn will star in the musical Sweet Charity at Nottingham Playhouse  later this year. The show runs from Friday 31 August - Saturday 22 September 2018

Directed by Bill Buckhurst (Sweeney Todd in the West End and Off-Broadway)., Trehearn will star  alongside the previously announced Marc Elliot who will play Oscar.

Further casting has also been announced  including Amy Ellen Richardson as Nickie and Carly Mercedes Dyer as Helene, Danny Collins as Charlie and Carl Sanderson as Herman.

Carmen, Frenchy, Rosie, Elaine and Suzanne will be played by Cindy Belliot, Emmanuelle N'zuzi, Sinead Long, Jessica Buckby, and Emily Goodenough, respectively. They will be joined on stage by Shaq Taylor as Daddy, Louis Gaunt as Manfred and Leah West as Ursula.

With choreography by Alistair David, Cy Coleman's musical Sweet Charity is a Broadway classic which became an Oscar-nominated film starring Shirley MacLaine. This  musical comedy features stunning set-piece choreography and hits like Hey Big Spender, The Rhythm of Life and If My Friends Could See Me Now.
