Alexandra Burke is to join the West End cast of Chicago the Musical at The Phoenix Theatre, playing the role of Roxie Hart taking over from Sarah Soetaert from Monday 13th August to Saturday 14th October 2018. She will join Martin Kemp as Billy Flynn, Josefina Gabrielle as Velma Kelly and Paul Rider as Amos Hart. Martin Kemp will be staying in the London production of Chicago until 1 September 2018.
Burke's recent musical theatre roles include Svetlana in the London Coliseum revival of Chess, and Rachel Marron in The Bodyguard and Deloris Van Cartier in the Sister Act UK tour.
The show is currently running at the Phoenix Theatre until 5 January when it closes and Come from Away the Musical starts previews there on 30th January
