The musical version of the iconic Christmas film Miracle on 34th Street will run at Liverpool Playhouse from 7th December to 4th January 2020, with cast and creative team to be announced.
Directed by the Everyman and Playhouse artistic director Gemma Bodinetz, the musical has book, music and lyrics by Meredith Willson, and is based on George Seaton's original '40s screenplay (which was re-made for the screen in 1994 starring Richard Attenborough).
Set between Thanksgiving and Christmas Day, the piece follows a man, Kris Kringle, who claims to be the true Santa Claus. It features classic festive hits including "It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas".
