Pretty Woman Musical sets Broadway closing date

Pretty Woman: The Musical, stage adaptation of the 1990 romantic comedy, is to play its final Broadway performance on  August 18th  at the Nederlander Theatre.

Directed and choreographed by Jerry Mitchell, the musical began previews July 20th, 2018 and opened on  August 16th, following a world premiere in Chicago. At the time of closing, it will have played 27 previews and 421 regular performances.

The opening-night cast included Samantha Barks as Vivian and Andy Karl as Edward. The two are continuing in the roles until 22nd July when understudy Jillian Mueller and Brennin Hunt (of Fox's Rent) will take over the roles.

The show is scheduled to come to London late next year with a West End theatre yet to be assigned.
