Is Baz Luhrmann's Moulin Rouge! heading for London in 2021?

This morning a new as yet unconfirmed report from Baz Bamigboye of The Daily Mail is talking about a potential West End transfer of the smash stage adaptation of Baz Luhrmann's Moulin Rouge! in  Janaury 2021. Australian producer, Carmen Pavlovic, declined to comment to Baz on the possible UK transfer of this fabulous show, but its director, Alex Timbers, is rumoured to have made a trip to London this week to check out the Piccadilly Theatre.

Moulin Rouge! The Musical is based on the 20th Century Fox Motion Picture by Baz Luhrmann. The exceptional  NY cast at Broadway’s Al Hirschfeld Theatre is led by Karen Olivo, Aaron Tveit, Sahr Ngaujah, Tam Mutu and Danny Burstein. It is directed by Alex Timbers (Tony Award®-nominated for Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson and Peter and the Starcatcher) Moulin Rouge! The Musical has a book by John Logan (Tony Award® for Red), choreography by Sonya Tayeh (Lucille Lortel Award and Obie Award for Kung Fu, and Emmy winner), and music supervision, orchestrations and arrangements by Justin Levine (Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson).
