Les Dennis to join the cast of Only Fools and Horses The Musical

Comedian and actor Les Dennis is to  join the cast of Only Fools and Horses The Musical at the Theatre Royal Haymarket from 3rd October, starring as Grandad. The show is also extending its run for a further three months, until 7th January 2022.

Based on John Sullivan's much-loved sitcom, the show is written by John's son, Jim Sullivan, and  Paul Whitehouse (who originated Grandad in the show).

Les Dennis said: "Jim Sullivan and Paul Whitehouse have written a wonderful show that beautifully recreates that feel-good era of British comedy. I can't wait to join the hugely talented cast and be a part of it. Lovely jubbly!"

Directed by Caroline Jay Ranger, the show also stars Tom Bennett as Del Boy and Ryan Hutton as Rodney featuring Ashleigh Gray as Raquel; Nicola Munns as Marlene and Cassandra; Craig Berry plays Boycie; Lee VG as Trigger; Adrian Irvine as Denzil; Danny Bayne plays Mickey Pearce and Danny Driscoll; Andrew Bryant as Mike The Barman and Tony Driscoll.

Completing the company are Christopher Arkeston, Marion Campbell, Wesley Charles, Leanne Garretty, Ian Gareth Jones, Chris Kiely (also resident Director), Danny Lane, Andy Mace, Melanie Marshall, Gemma McLean, Darry Paul and Mark Pearce.

Ashleigh Gray among new cast members for the Only Fools and Horses musical at the Haymarket

Only Fools and Horses musical  has announced some  new West End cast members while it continues its run at the Haymarket Theatre.

From 10th February Ashleigh Gray (Wicked, Nativity!) will take over the role of Raquel from Dianne Pilkington with  Oscar Conlon-Morrey  taking on the additional role of Danny Driscoll f on top of his existing role as the Dating Agent.

Andrew Bryant will play the role of Tony Driscoll, while also providing cover for Mickey Pearce and Mike The Barman. Joining the swings are Rhys Owen (Spamalot) and Christopher Arkeston. The current leads Paul Whitehouse ,Tom Bennett and Ryan Hutton as Grandad, Del Boy and Rodney. are staying with the show which is currently booking  until 27th June 2020.

Only Fools and Horses The Musical extends West End run to 27 June 2020.

Only Fools and Horses The Musical is to  extend its West End run for the fourth time to  27th June 2020.
The musical began its run at the Theatre Royal Haymarket in February 2019  led by Tom Bennett as Del Boy, Paul Whitehouse as Grandpa and Ryan Hutton as Rodney. Tickets for the new booking period are on sale now.

Whitehouse said: "After a bit of a break from the show I was itching to return to the stage and it's a great feeling to be back in Grandad's armchair. After almost a year we're still playing to packed houses throughout the week at the Theatre Royal Haymarket!"

Andy Mace taking over from Paul Whitehouse in Only Fools and Horses musical

Andy Mace will take over the role of Grandad from Paul Whitehouse in  in Only Fools and Horses The Musical at the Haymarket Theatre from 29th July.

Whitehouse, who helped create the piece, is going  to take a break and return in a few months time, at a specific date to be confirmed. Mace has been with the show since it opened in February this year playing Mike The Barman.

Currently appearing in the show are Tom Bennett as Del Boy, Ryan Hutton as Rodney, Dianne Pilkington as Raquel, Pippa Duffy as Cassandra, Jeff Nicholson as Boycie, Samantha Seager as Marlene, Peter Baker as Trigger, Adrian Irvine as Denzil, Pete Gallagher and Adam Venue as the Driscoll Brothers, Chris Kiely as Mickey Pearce.
