Patina Miller earned an Olivier Award nomination for originating the role of Deloris Van Cartier in Sister Act which has just closed at the London Palladium. She is now due to reprise her performance when the show opens on Broadway next spring.
Sister Act The Musical will begin previews March 24th 2011 at the Broadway Theatre and officially opens on April 20th.
Patina (pictured here with producerWhoopi Goldberg) will be working with some familiar faces as the Broadway production will reunite the original London creative team of choreographer Anthony Van Laast, scenic designer Klara Zieglerova, costume designer Lez Brotherston, lighting designer Natasha Katz and sound designer Mick Potter.

Patina Miller in Concert at Ambassadors
Patina Miller (Sister Act), Chloe Hart (Hairspray), Lucy May Barker (Spring Awakening), Andrew Kober (Hair), Jeremy Legat (Wicked), Hannah Shankman (Hair) and Matt Shingledecker (Spring Awakening on Broadway) are scheduled to perform in the concert Homemade Fusion which is a celebration of the New York song-writing team Michael Kooman and Christopher Dimond.
The concert will take place at the Ambassadors Theatre (where Stomp is currently playing) at 11:00 pm on 21st August 2010.
Composer Kooman and lyricist Dimond, recently won a Jonathan Larson Grant for emerging composers. They have worked together on musicals including Junior Claus, Golden Gate and the song cycle Homemade Fusion.

Sierra Boggess, Louise Dearman and Patina Miller in Scott Alan Concert
The three West End Divas Sierra Boggess (Love Never Dies), Louise Dearman (Wicked!) and Patina Miller (Sister Act) will appear in the concert Simply The Music of Scott Alan at the New Players Theatre at 5:00 pm and 8:00 pm on Sunday 26th September 2010.
Other musical theatre performers include Hadley Fraser (Fantasticks), Ashleigh Gray (Wicked), Jodie Jacobs (Jest End), Norm Lewis (Les Miserables), Stuart Matthew Price (Parade), Willemijn Verkaik (Wicked) plus one other very special guest still to be announced!
Following on from the Just Me & Them concerts last year this new show will feature brand new songs by the American composer and lyricist

Sheila Hancock and Patina Miller staying on in Sister Act with Simon Webbe
When ex Blue band member Simon Webbe joins the cast of Sister Act as Curtis Shank (bad-boy lover of Deloris Van Cartier) on 31st May he will be lucky enough to be supported by Sheila Hancock who is staying on as Mother Superior for another three months.
She was due to leave and has been appearing as a judge on Andrew Lloyd Webber’s search for a Dorothy on Over The Rainbow, but has decided to spend another summer at the London Palladium.
The glorious Patina Miller is staying on as Deloris and from 31st May will be joined by Jacqueline Clarke as Sister Mary Lazarus and ensemble members Lauren Appleby, Kiara Jay, Rachel John, Aaron Lambert, Ellie Leah, Amanda Minihan, Grant Murphy, Nathaniel Morrison, Ashley Russell and Carrie Sutton.
