Joe McElderry, Eva Noblezada, Ben Forster, Willemijn Verkaik and Louise Dearman among great line up in West End Does:Christmas

On Saturday 1st  December at Cadogan Hall,  a great line up of top West End stars will appear in Forty Four Productions' concert, West End Does: Christmas.

Warwick Davis, star of Star Wars, Harry Potter and producer of Eugenius!, will host the event, which also features the 16-piece West End orchestra conducted by Alfonso Casado celebrating the best festive tunes from the past and present, with  performances at 2:00pm and 7:00 pm.

Appearing in the shows will be Wicked stars Willemijn Verkaik and Louise Dearman, Joseph's Joe McElderry, Miss Saigon and Hadestown's Eva Noblezada and Les Mis' Jade Davies.

Also appearing are former West End Phantom Ben Forster, Heathers lead Jamie Muscato, Eugenius! star Rob Houchen and Evita lead Emma Kingston.

Cast announced for West End Christmas Concert at St Paul's Covent Garden

Updated 24th November:  the line up has just been announced - the evening will be hosted by Christopher Biggins, who will be joined by Lesley Joseph.

A sparkling spectacle of stars and song, will feature some of the top West End shows including Kinky Boots , Five Guys Named Moe, Young Frankenstein, Phantom of the Opera, Lion King and 42nd Street who will be raising the roof with their unique interpretation of Christmas songs both contemporary and classic. Also joining the line-up are the West End Christmas Singers.

The show will feature Jane Milligan, Cedric Neal, Julie Legrand, Maria Kesselman, David Shannon Lucy O'Byrne, Robert Bannon Carolyn Maitland, Alasdair Harvey, Gemma Sutton The Mellor Sisters, Jo Napthine, Shona White, Julie Atherton, Janique Charles, Christopher Howell & Jasna Ivir . They will be joined by The Royal Academy of Music Post Grads, the Big Noise Gospel choir and our very own MAD Ensemble and West End Christmas Choir

The Make A Difference Trust has been restoring the spirit of Christmas since 2003, with a concert uniting casts and stars of West End shows  to celebrate  the festive season with mix of music and verse.  

The 2017 concert will again be held at the Actors' Church St Paul's Covent Garden.  This year it is on 3rd December with doors opening at 7:00pm for a 7:30pm concert with performers to be announced.  Tickets for this annual event sell out very quickly.

Cynthia Erivo, Simon Bowman, Scott Garnham & Michael Xavier A Very West End Christmas Charity EP

Cynthia Erivo, Simon Bowman, Sophie Louise Dann, Shona White, Scott Garnham, Jodie Jacobs & Michael Xavier are among a hot musical theatre stars who have recorded A Very West End Christmas EP.

Co-producers Darren Bell and Kris Rawlinson brought together almost fifty stars of musical theatre,  at the St James Theatre on the 14th October to record an album of Christmas songs for charity: the proceeds of which will be split between equally between Giggin’ For Good, which raises money for Great Ormond Street Hospital, West End Fests, which raises money for CRY UK and The Band Aid Charitable Trust.

The A Very West End Christmas EP features five festive tracks:

1. Hark! The Herald Angels Sing – A Very West End Christmas Choir.

2. The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting On an Open Fire) – Michael Xavier (The Sound of Music, Into the Woods)

3. Oh, Holy Night –Sabrina Aloueche (Les Miserables, We Will Rock You), Jodie Jacobs (Rock of Ages) & Katie Paine (We Will Rock You).

4. Baby It’s Cold Outside – Chloe Hart (Wicked, Hairspray) & Jeremy Legat (Wicked).

5. Do They Know It’s Christmas? – tA Very West End Christmas’ Choir.

Each track will be available for purchase, individually or as part of the entire EP, on most music platforms including iTunes and Amazon on 14th December 2013 which you can pre-order now.

West End Christmas Concert at Actors' Church

TheatreMAD presents A West End Christmas in aid of The Make A Difference Trust at St Paul's (Actors' Church), Covent Garden on Sunday 2nd  December at 7.30 pm (Doors Open: 7:00 pm)

Now in  its 9th year, A West End Christmas features musical theatre casts, soloists and celebrities starting their Christmas celebrations with style, fun and festive cheer.

This concert has sold out in previous years so book early for the celebrity hosted evening with wine and mince pies.

Michael Xavier in A West End Christmas

A West End Christmas is on at the Royal Concert Hall, Nottingham on Thursday 15th December at 7:30 pm.

West End soloists Leila Benn Harris, Jenna Lee James, Michael Xavier and Scott Davies will be accompanied by live band performing show-stopping numbers from the greatest London and Broadway musicals including Love Never Dies, The Phantom of the Opera, Les Misérables, Chicago, My Fair Lady, Cats, Wicked and many more.
