Harriet Thorpe appearing in Mamma Mia!

Harriet Thorpe (pictured)  takes over the role of Tanya in Mamma Mia! at the Prince of Wales Theatre from 14th June 2010.

Harriet has worked extensively at the Royal National Theatre, and did two Shakespeare seasons at the Regent's Park Open Air Theatre. She was in the original revival cast of Cabaret as Fraulein Kost at the Lyric Theatre and appeared with Jason Donovan as Mrs. Lovett in the national tour of Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd. She originated the role of Ida Arnold in the Almeida Theatre's original musical, Brighton Rock, played the role of Madame Thenardier in the hit musical, Les Miserables and took over the role of Madame Morrible in London production of Wicked which she left at the end of March 2010.

Linzi Hateley and Jessie May will continue in their roles as mother and daughter Donna and Sophie Sheridan.

The new cast of Mamma Mia! will also feature Catherine Russell as Rosie, Norman Bowman (Sam Carmichael), Paul Ryan (Harry Bright), Christopher Hollis (Bill Austin), Joshua Sasse (Sky), Nicola Hawkins (Ali), Nicky Griffiths (Lisa), Alex Jessop (Pepper) and Paul-Michael Jones (Eddie).

Avenue Q’s Julie Atherton in Cabaret at Delfont Room

Julie Atherton has appeared in London’s West End originating the roles of Kate Monster and Lucy the Slut in Avenue Q and played Sophie in Mamma Mia!  She is also an experienced concert artist, having performed at venues including the Donmar Warehouse and the Royal Albert Hall.

She will launch her second album No Space for Air at the same time as she appears in cabaret at London’s exclusive Delfont Room at the Prince of Wales Theatre at 19:00 on Sunday 6th June 2010.

 No Space for Air offers numbers which have been arranged with Julie’s musical influences ranging from Alanis Morissette and Skunk Anansie to the legendary Stephen Sondheim.

Mamma Mia Tour Extends into New Year

The tour of Mamma Mia has added a couple of dates which take it into the New Year.  It will be playing at the Millennium Centre Cardiff from 16th November 2010 to 23rd January 2011 and then from 5th March-3rd April 2011 you can see it at the SECC Clyde Auditorium.

Mamma Mia is still also playing at the Prince of Wales Theatre in the West End where the show has just celebrated its 11th birthday.  The London cast includes Linzi Hateley, Katy Secombe, Jane Gurnett, Laura Selwood and Jessie May.

Scott Alan to appear live at the Delfont Room


The young American songwriter Scott Alan is returning to London for a single  concert live at the Delfont Room at the Prince of Wales Theatre at 23:00  on Saturday 13th March 2010.

His show is called “Just me, and a piano, and him, and her...”, and will feature Alan and  two West End stars. As well as several recordings, his work includes the musicals Detour and Piece.

Singalong With Mamma Mia!


This Sunday 24th January the O2 arena will host the biggest screening and singalong ever of Mamma Mia! A giant 100 ft screen has been specially built so that 12,000 fans of the movie and musical can watch it and singalong.

The audience are asked dressed to impress in their Mamma Mia! gear and as a special bonus the entire London cast of the hit stage show currently on at the Prince of Wales Theatre in London’s West End  will be there to give a unique performance before the screening.

Mamma Mia! will be shown twice at The O2 on Sunday at 24 January at 14:30 and 18:30.  To book tickets visit  Mamma Mia Singalong Tickets
