Six the Musical cast change in London from next month


Set to appear in Six the Musical in London from 17 October 2023 will be Nikki Bentley (Wicked) as Catherine of Aragon, Thao Therese Nguyen (Miss Saigon) as Anne Boleyn, Kayleigh McKnight (Heathers the Musical) as Jane Seymour, Reca Oakley (Six) as Anna of Cleves, Inez Budd (Heathers the Musical) as Katherine Howard and Janiq Charles (The Lion King) as Catherine Parr.

They will be joined by Gabriella Stylianou (The Great British Bake Off Musical) as Alternate Aragon/Seymour and Dance Captain, Naomi Alade (Beautiful – The Carole King Musical) as Alternate Boleyn/Cleves, Hannah Lowther (The SpongeBob Musical) as Alternate Howard/Parr, Meg Dixon-Brasil (Six) as Super Swing and Natalie Pilkington (Six) as UK Super Swing.

New cast members join Six the Musical in London

Six the musical
continues its run at the Vaudeville Theatre, where it has extended its booking period until 29 October 2023.

Joining the principal line-up from Tuesday 18 October are Rhianne-Louise McCaulsky (Bat Out of Hell, Grease) as Catherine of Aragon, Baylie Carson (Jagged Little Pill) as Anne Boleyn and Koko Basigara as Katherine Howard with Monique Ashe-Palmer (Jersey Boys, Aladdin) as Alternate Aragon/Cleves and Leah Vassell (West Side Story in Slovenia) as Alternate Seymour/Parr.

Their first performance will be on Tuesday 18 October when they join current cast members Claudia Kariuki, Dionne Ward-Anderson and Roxanne Couch (who was previously the Alternate Jane Seymour and Catherine Parr) as Jane Seymour, Anna of Cleves and Catherine Parr respectively.

Super Swings Rachel Rawlinson and Esme Rothero also continue their roles.

New West End Cast announced for Six The Musical


The new West End cast for Six the Musical was revealed at a photoshoot at the Tower of London yesterday. The current Queens will play their final two shows on Sunday 14th November at the Vaudeville Theatre.

The six new Queens and five additional company members joining the show from 16th  November will be Amy Di Bartolomeo (Bat Out of Hell) as Catherine of Aragon, Amanda Lindgren (South Pacific) as Anne Bolyen, Claudia Kariuki (Ragtime) as Jane Seymour, Dionne Ward-Anderson (Footloose) as Anna of Cleves, Tsemaye Bob-Egbe (Tina – The Tina Turner Story) as Katherine Howard and Meesha Turner (making her professional and West End debut) as Catherine Parr with  Paisley Billings as alternate Catherine of Aragon and Anna of Cleves, Roxanne Couch as alternate Jane Seymour and Katherine Parr, Danielle Rose as alternate Anne Boleyn and Catherine Howard, Rachel Rawlinson/swing and Esme Rothero/ swing and dance captain.

Six Musical to transfer to Lyric Theatre for a socially distanced 11-week run from 14th November

The Tudor girl-band concert Six is set to be first musical to reopen in West End with  a simultaneous run at  Salford Lowry

Created by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss when they were undergraduates at Cambridge University, Six ran at the Arts theatre in London from September 2018 to March of this year when venues closed due to the coronavirus outbreak. It will now move temporarily to the larger Lyric Theatre in Shaftesbury Avenue for a socially distanced 11-week run from 14th  November to 31st January 2021 where it will perform 9 shows a week. 
 
Capacity has been reduced to comply with COVID-19 Secure guidelines for social distancing plus robust risk mitigation. In addition to hand sanitation, face coverings and track and trace, other measures will include contactless tickets, temperature testing and the deep clean and sanitation of the theatre.

Simultaneously the tour of SIX  will resume performances in the Lyric Theatre at the Lowry in Salford from Friday November 27 for a 6-week Christmas season until 10th  January 2021 (tickets now on sale)

SIX will return to the Arts Theatre in March 2021 subject to the lifting of social distancing, and ‘Get Up, Stand Up!  The Bob Marley Musical’ opens at the Lyric. 

Tickets for SIX at the LYRIC THEATRE will go on sale at 8:00 am Friday 18 September

Queens announced for tour of Six The Musical

The cast has just been announced for the tour of Six The Musical which starts at Guildford in October .  
 
The Queens will be  Lauren Drew/Catherine of Aragon, Maddison Bulleyment/Anne Boleyn, Lauren Byrne/Jane Seymour, Shekinah McFarlane/Anna of Cleves. Jodie Steele/ Katherine Howard. Athena Collins/ Catherine Parr, Harriet Watson/ Alternate Jane Seymour and Catherine Parr, Cassandra Lee/Alternate Catherine Of Aragon and Anna Of Cleves and Jennifer Caldwell/Alternate Anne Boleyn & Katherine Howard.

New cast members announced for Six The Musical in London

Producers of SIX the musical have just announced that Cherelle Jay, Zara MacIntosh and Hana Stewart are to be the new alternate Queens in the cast at the Arts Theatre. They are already in rehearsals and will join the production in October replacing current alternates Vicki Manser, Grace Mouat and Courtney Stapleton.

Cherelle Jay comes to SIX direct from the West End production of Everybody's Talking About Jamie where she understudied the leading role of Pritti Pasha. She was previously a member the UK's most recognised Hip Hop dance company ZooNation and made her professional debut in the West End in their production Some Like It Hip Hop, then went into their most recent remixed production of Into The Hoods, covering the role of 'Lil Red'. Her other West End work includes I Can't Sing! The X Factor Musical at The London Palladium.

Zara MacIntosh is making her West End debut in SIX. She trained at the London College of Music. Her previous roles include playing Rattie in the recent hip hop musical In the Willows (UK tour) and Maria in Twelfth Night (Shakespeare Festival/Royal Court Theatre).


Hana Stewart trained at the Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts and Performers College. Her theatre credits include: Ruth in The State of Things at The Brockley Jack Studio Theatre and Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz at The Sheringham Little Theatre. Hana has just finished filming the feature film Brighton, starring Larry Lamb, Marion Bailey, Lesley Sharp and Phil Davis.

The show is currently booking at the Arts Theatre until 5th July 2020 and is due to go on a UK tour  kickin of in Guildford o 24th October.

Toby Marlow steps in to play Catherine Parr in Six

Toby Marlow, co-creator of   hit show  Six the Musical,   took on the role of Catherine Parr at the Arts Theatre yesterday

Marlow, premiered the work alongside Lucy Moss at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2017, and played the role of the sixth Queen of Henry VIII in a concert production of the show for one night only  after a number of cast members were taken ill. The news was warmly  with Marlow thanking the audiences for "being so cool about the concert performance and the cast changes."

The show recently announced it would be going on a UK tour opening at Guildford on 24th October with casting to be announced in due course.

Six Musical extends booking period and announces new Queens

The smash hit musical Six  has announced an extension to their  booking period at the Arts Theatre, with performances now scheduled through to 5th July 2020. Tickets go on sale at 12 noon today.


Four new queens have also been announced to join the cast , including Courtney Bowman who will take over the role of Anne Boleyn and Danielle Steers who will take over the role of Catherine Parr from 15th October. From July 2019, Collette Guitart joins the company as a Dance Captain/Understudy. Shekinah Macfarlane will also join as Alternate Catherine of Aragon and Anna of Cleves through to October 2019.

Courtney Bowman is currently playing Fatimah in Everybody’s Talking About Jamie in the West End and was Horse in Stiles & Drewe’sThe Wind in the Willows at the London Palladium. Danielle Steers was acclaimed for her vocals as Zahara in Bat Out of Hell and she recently played Carmen in Sweet Charity at the Donmar Warehouse. Her other West End shows include Beautiful, The Bodyguard and Legally Blonde. Collette Guitart was in Bat Out of Hell and 27 - Rise of a Falling Star. Shekinah Macfarlane is currently in American Idiot, and her recent shows include Hair, Tommy and Parade.

A UK tour of Six is due to  commence on 24th  October  at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre, Guildford, before  visiting an extensive number of  locations. The cast is due to  be announced soon.

First dates for tour of Six the Musical later this year

Initial venues and dates have been announced for a nine month UK tour of Six, the hit musical about the six wives of Henry VIII, which is currently running at the Arts Theatre in London's West End.

Opening at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre, Guildford on 24th October, Six will visit  over 33 venues nationwide, including a Christmas season at The Lowry Quays with more  dates for 2020 to be announced.

Tickets for the tour venues without a booking link will go on sale shortly. The cast, yet to be announced, are backed by the show's all-female band, The Ladies in Waiting.

Six to tour and return to the West End in January

The smash-hit musical  SIX about the six wives of Henry VIII will return to the Arts Theatre in London  for an open-ended run from 16 January -  5 May 2019. Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss' high-octane pop concert musical has been programmed for 16 weeks.

When its current sold out run ends on 14th October  it will embark on a short UK tour, visiting venues including the Rose Theatre, Kingston, Salford, Glasgow, Kingston and Southampton. 

The SIX wives of Henry VIII finally take the mic to tell their tale, remixing 500 years of  her-storical heartbreak into a 75-minute celebration of sisterly sass-itude.Powered by an all-female band and with songs including Ex-Wives, Haus of Holbein and Don’t Lose Ur Head.

Six is co-directed by Moss and Jamie Armitage, with choreography by Carrie-Anne Ingrouille, set design by Emma Bailey, costume design by Gabriella Slade, lighting design by Tim Deiling, sound design by Paul Gatehouse, musical supervision by Joe Beighton and orchestrations by Tom Curran.
