Catch Spamalot from Saturday

The new tour of Spamalot starring Marcus Brigstocke, Jodie Prenger / Hayley Tamaddon  and Todd Carty (pictured in rehearsals) is due to open on Saturday at the New Wimbledon Theatre.

The theatre staff was invited to attend rehearsals last week and saw the show's stars running through some very funny scenes, practising their Python impersonations and sending up Musical Theatre in spectacular fashion.

But more exciting than that was the fact that the original Python star and Spamalot co-creator Eric Idle was there to ensure the cast were all working to his very high and very funny standards.

To quote Eric: "I flew in from LA to see the cast in rehearsals this week - they're a very funny (and inexpensive) bunch of people and it's been great fun seeing them prepare for a whole new production of Spamalot. It's great to see new actors in a new production of the show - for an old fart like me, it's really a joy."

All reports I get are good ones so suspect this is going to be a “must see”.
