Michael Flatley has not performed in his show Lord of the Dance for more than a decade, but is now but to appear in a number of cities in late autumn this year, beginning in Sheffield Arena on October 30th.
Lord of the Dance was created, choreographed and produced by Flatley. Some members of the 40 strong cast in this year’s tour performed with him in the original show in 1996. Since it opened the dance spectacular has played to more than 60 million people in more than 60 countries across the world.
Flatley has just completed a tour of Taiwan in ‘Feet of Flames’ which exceeded box office expectations and had audiences begging for more even after five standing ovations
Lord of the Dance is based on Irish folklore telling the story through dance of good versus evil.
