Peter Polycarpou to lead Love Story the Musical at Chichester Festival

Love Story is a brand new musical based on the film of the same name which was one of the most romantic movies of all time.

It is playing in the Minerva Studio during  the Chichester Festival from 29th May-26th June.

Oliver Barrett IV went to Harvard and Jenny Cavilleri to Radcliffe. He was rich, she was poor. He was sporty, she played music. But they fell in love and this is their story.

Peter Polycarpou is playing Jenny's father, Phil.  He has an enormous list of theatre credits which include Ebenezer Scrooge in A Christmas Carol, Gash in Last Easter (Birmingham Rep), Ibrahim in Artefacts (Brits Off Broadway NYC and Bush Theatre), Daniel Warshowsky in Imagine This (Plymouth Theatre Royal and New London Theatre), Title role in The Phantom of the Opera (Really Useful Company), Aaron in Titus Andronicus, Neville Craven in The Secret Garden and Thenardier in Les Miserables (RSC), The Childcatcher in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (London Palladium), Ali Hakim in Oklahoma! (National Theatre and Lyceum) and John in Miss Saigon at Drury Lane).

Peter is joined by Emma Williams as Jenny who made her West End debut as Truly Scrumptious in the original cast of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Michael Xavier as Oliver Barratt  (Festival 09’s Oklahoma! and Spamalot)

The original book is by Erich Segal but the Chichester production has music by Howard Goodall, book and lyrics by Stephen Clark with additional lyrics by Howard Goodall.
