Nick Lloyd Webber (pictured at his wedding) is the 30-year-old son of Andrew Lloyd Webber . He is a songwriter, record producer, film and TV composer who has also been writing scores for the Oxford Shakespeare Company. They are a group who perform the bard’s works in historic open-air venues including Oxford and London.
Tonight there is benefit at west London’s Gate Theatre when Nick will unveil his third OSC score for the forthcoming production of The Tempest. Guests will include his father Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber.
The Tempest officially opens at Gray’s Inn in London running from 9th-18th June prior to the company’s annual summer residence at the Walled Garden at Wadham College Oxford from 4th-24th July and 4th-20th August 2010. With musical direction by Nick, the production marks the 400th anniversary of both Shakespeare’s play and the college.
The Tempest will also visit outdoor spaces at Hampton Court, Greenwich, Charlbury and Shakespeare House in Aylesbury.
