Doctor Who Live is an arena tour produced by BBC Worldwide. It will start in London this October with shows at Wembley Arena (8th-10th October) before heading for Sheffield (12th & 13th October), Glasgow (14th-17th October), Birmingham 18th-20th October), Manchester (22nd-24th October), Nottingham (25th & 26th October), Cardiff (28th-31st October), Liverpool (2nd & 3rd November) and Belfast (6th & 7th November).
The live show will have “all the coolest Doctor Who monsters” and “a proper story” according to Doctor Who’s executive producer Steven Moffat. There will be live music a 16-piece orchestra.
The BBC1 TV actors will not appear on stage, but Moffat is writing new material for Matt Smith (the current Doctor Who) which will be projected on to a screen as part of the show.
