The Human Comedy is a rediscovered 1980s Broadway hit with music by Galt MacDermot whose musical Hair has just enjoyed West End revival.
There a limited seats available for the show which is running at the Main House at the Young Vic from 13th-18th September.
It is set in a small Californian town during World War II where young Homer delivers telegrams of love, joy and the sorrows of war. His mother prays for the safe return of his brother from the front line while his sister dreams that she too could fight for her country.
The score is a fabulous mix of classic American swing, gospel, pop and folk is performed by a cast of very experienced musical theatre stars and a company of over 80 performers.
The cast includes Tomm Coles, Brenda Edwards, Jordi Fray, Sarah Harlington, Helen Hobson, Kate Marlais, Terel Nugent, Tom Robertson, Jo Servi, Jos Slovick, Tony Stansfield, Theo Stevenson and Chris Storr.
