Ruthie Henshall’s diary is certainly full for the next 12 months. She has just finished an extended run reprising her role of Roxie Hart in the hit musical Chicago on Broadway and starts the Ruthie Henshall Sounds of Hollywood Tour throughout October and November in the UK.
She is also shortly to begin rehearsals for a production of Noel Coward’s Blithe Spirit which opens at the Theatre Royal Bath from Wednesday 3rd – Saturday 13th November before going on a short UK tour. It visits Brighton and Cambridge ahead of the Christmas break, reopening in February 2011 for Milton Keynes and Richmond and then transferring to the West End’s Apollo Theatre in London’s West End for a limited season from 2nd March to 18th June 2011.
Ruthie will play the ghostly apparition Elvira in the comedy about a dinner party that goes very wrong when an eccentric medium (Madame Arcati) conjures up the spirit of host Charles Condomine’s first wife. She joins an impressive cast which includes the fabulous Alison Steadman as the medium and Hermione Norris and Robert Bathurst as Charles and his second wife Ruth.
And in the middle of all this she is starring in a Christmas Spectacular at the 02 Arena with Rhydian Roberts on Thursday 23rd December.
