Alexia Khadime joining Les Miserables as Eponine

I have already mentioned most of the cast changes at Les Miserables which come into effect from 23rd June, but it has now been confirmed that Alexia Khadime will be taking over the role of Eponine from Samantha Barks.

I recently saw Alexia in Ordinary Days at the Trafalgar Studios where she was performing with Daniel Boys and Julie Atherton and found her very impressive.

She took over the role of Elphaba from Kerry Ellis in Wicked! at the Apollo Victoria in 2009 being succeeded by Rachel Tucker in March 2010. Other musical theatre credits include Nala in The Lion King, tour of Whistle Down the Wind, the Leader of the Pack and Welcome to Thebes at the Royal National Theatre which was directed by Richard Eyre.

 TV credits include The Queen's Nose  for BBC, The Bill  for ITV and two years in Grange Hill.
