Keith Lemon replaces Vernon Kay on Sing If You Can starring Ray Quinn, Jonathan Ansell & Jodie Prenger

As previously mentioned Sing If You Can is a new ITV1 six part series where stars try to perform songs while undertaking challenges designed to distract them.

The teams of celebrities competing come from all fields of entertainment with West End musical theatre stars including Ben Richards, Camilla Kerslake, Brenda Edwards, Jodie Prenger, Ray Quinn (who is currently appearing in Dirty Dancing) making his debut as a rapper and ex G4 tenor Jonathan Ansell who is about to appear in Beauty and the Beast and then embark on a concert tour.

The show was to be hosted by Vernon Kay and X Factor singer Stacey Solomon, but Kay has now been replaced by off the wall comedian Keith Lemon. Apparently this was because the producers felt that a comedian would be best suited to host the show.

Kay explained of the situation: "Following the pilot, the producers and I sat down and talked about the tone of the show. We all agreed that because of the mix of comedy and slapstick challenges that it would benefit from having a comedian host it. I'm really happy with the decision."

The shows starts recording on 1st April with first show being broadcast on 16th April.
