Road Show is the third collaboration between Sondheim and book writer John Weidman (Pacific Overtures and Assassins), but is not their first attempt with this material which has also been called Gold, Wise Guys and Bounce.
It tells the true boom-and-bust story of Addison Mizner and his fast-talking brother Wilson who were two of the most colourful and outrageous fortune seekers in American history. It is about their adventures across America from the Alaskan Gold Rush to the Florida property boom in the 1930s.
This production is directed and designed by the Tony Award-winning John Doyle and features an outstanding cast that includes: David Bedella, Gillian Bevan, Adrian Der Gregorian, Fiona Dunn, Sarah Ingram, Michael Jibson, Julie Jupp, Glyn Kerslake, Elizabeth Marsh, Christopher Ragland, Jon Robyns and Robbie Scotcher
