After receiving rave reviews and a sell out run at the Tristan Bates Theatre, the multi-award winning musical Thrill Me - The Leopold & Loeb Story transfers to the Charing Cross Theatre (formerly the New Players Theatre) from Tuesday 17th May - Saturday 11th June with George Maguire and Jye Frasca reprising their roles in Guy Retallack’s acclaimed production.
George Maguire plays Richard Loeb and Jye Frasca is Nathan Leopold. Frasca was the original Joe Pesci in the musical Jersey Boys and has regularly played Frankie Valli in the show . His other theatre credits include: Wicked, Mary Poppins (both West End) and Trevor Nunn’s productions of Love’s Labour’s Lost and Anything Goes (National Theatre). George Maguire’s West End credits include Oliver! and Fame.
Thrill Me is based on the true case of Leopold and Loeb who were self- confessed “Thrill Killers”. It takes place in 1920’s Chicago when two rich college kids who are studying law become obsessed with crime and love. Loeb believed he was above the law and Leopold was a loner who became a willing accomplice to what they both believed was the perfect crime...
The true events were also the basis for Never the Sinner, Swoon and Alfred Hitchcock’s thriller Rope.
