U2 front man Bono who composed the music with band mate the Edge for the $70 million Broadway production Spider Man Turn off the Dark says the revamped show "will be there by opening night" on June 14th.
The most expense Broadway musical ever has undergone a revamp with director and chief creative force Julie Taymor being replaced by The Boy From Oz director Philip McKinley.
Bono and the Edge performed "Rise Above” which is a song from the production on American Idol. He said "There's another version of it in the play, and it was this beautiful hook about trying to transcend your circumstances. This song is one of the first songs that jumped out at us."
Because of all the delays and postponed openings for Spider Man they are in the unusual position of the cast album being ready for release on 14th June which is the opening night. You can pre-order the CD of Spider Man Turn off the Dark from Amazon for £9.64.
The track listings are: Bouncing Off The Walls: Picture This: Rise Above 1 - Reeve Carney, Bono & The Edge; No More: Boy Falls From The Sky: DIY World: A Freak Like Me Needs Company: I Just Can't Walk Away (Say It Now): Pull The Trigger: Turn Off The Dark and Sinistereo
