Next Saturday 16th July Jonathan Ansell will be appearing at Rochester Castle in Kent at the grand finale of this year’s Medway Castle Concerts.
The Royal Philharmonic Proms Orchestra will perform a selection of classical favourites, culminating in a spectacular fireworks display. Highlights of this year's programme will include Tchaikovsky's thundering 1812 Overture, the ever-popular Nessun Dorma, and excerpts from Bizet's passionate opera Carmen.
The orchestra will also be joined on stage by guest soloists soprano Jo Appleby (who has toured worldwide with opera band Amici Forever) and tenor Jonathan Ansell who shot to fame with pop opera group G4. He has just completed a very successful concert tour and continues to sell out theatres all over the UK including the Elgar Room at London's Royal Albert Hall.
The evening will end with a stunning finale of all the traditional Last Night of the Proms flag-waving favourites for the audience to join in with, including the Sailor’s Hornpipe, Rule Britannia, Jerusalem and Land of Hope and Glory.
Book tickets for the Castle Proms online or call in person at The Central Theatre or The Brook Theatre box offices in Chatham, Medway Visitor Information Centre, 95 High Street, Rochester, or phone the Box Office on 01634 338338.
