Michael Xavier in Pop Opera in the Park

West End leading man Michael Xavier has recently appeared at the Regent’s Park Theatre in Sondheim’s Into the Woods and starred as Oliver in Love Story in London’s West End.  He was nominated for two Olivier Awards: Best Actor in a Musical and Best Supporting Performance in a Musical.

You can see him this Saturday, 23rd July performing at Pop Opera in the Park at Weston Park on the Shropshire / Staffordshire border. The event will feature pop favourites by Take That, Snow Patrol and many others performed in an operatic style as well as well known arias including Nessun Dorma and Nella Fantasia.

He will be joined by Simon Greenhill, Il Voce Celesti and Oliver Brenin (The Full Monty, Hello Dolly, South Pacific, Imagine This and Follies).

The event will be an intimate one and is ideal for bringing a rug, picnic and a bottle of bubbly to enjoy the park before the concert begins at 7.45 pm. Gates open at 5:00 pm
