Sheridan Smith and family in Sky’s Little Crackers

Little Crackers is a new series of British-originated comedies for Sky 1 HD featuring 12 comic stars including Sheridan Smith, Meera Syal, Jane Horrocks, Dawn French, Barbara Windsor, Johnny Vegas and Harry Hill.  The series gives stars the chance to tell how they did something for the first time.

Sheridan Smith's 15 minute episode of Little Crackers will be broadcast on Sky1 TV on Wednesday  21st December at 9:15 pm.

Sheridan’s episode shows her as a child tired of being left at home with her big brothers and boring babysitter as her parents head out to perform their country and western gigs, so she devises a plan to escape the sitter and gate crash the gig  at a South Yorkshire working men’s club called Bentley Top Club where her real parents really do appear there at a country and western music night every Wednesday.

In the TV film dad Mark is played by former Royle Family star Ralf Little and mother Madeleine is portrayed by Sheridan. Her brother Damian who is front man with rock band the Torn plays the part of a working men’s club chairman, while two young actors Tom Rolinson and Mark Flanagan play Sheridan’s brothers Julian and Damian.

Completing the line-up is six-year-old Frankie Taylor who beat competition from across the UK to win the role of the young Sheridan.
