UPDATED 12th June: The Landor Theatre has announced that they have added extra performances due to popular demand on Wednesday 20th and Thursday 21st June 2012.
With book and lyrics by Tony winner Joe DiPietro (Memphis) and music by Jimmy Roberts (I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change) The Thing About Men is to be staged at London's Landor Theatre in Clapham from May 15th for a four-week run to June 9th.
The show tells a story of love, hate and infidelity and is based on Doris Dorrie's German film "Mãnner. The Thing About Men is that they are "enigmatic, especially to women. Their innermost thoughts and desires tend not to be revealed, except occasionally, and only in desperation. They lie, they cheat, then lie some more when they are found out. Men lie to each other, the fools, so much - until they find themselves in ridiculous situations they can't get out of."
The show will be produced by the same producers of the award-winning Landor production of The Hired Man including director Andrew Keates, choreographer Cressida Carré and lighting designer Howard Hudson. They will be joined by musical director Joanna Cichonska and designer Martin Thomas.
Casting to be announced but includes Steven Webb and Lucyelle Cliffe.
