Hadley Fraser to star in Chichester's The Pajama Game

The Chichester Festival Theatre 2013 programme will be announced next month, but for some time now it has been common knowledge that Richard Eyre will direct a revival of the Pajama Game musical which will preview in April at the Minerva.

It is based on the novel 7½ Cents by Richard Bissell. With a score by Richard Adler and Jerry Ross it tells the story of problems in a pajama factory where workers are demanding a  pay rise of seven-and-a-half cents or else ...

The show features numbers including Steam Heat and Hernando’s Hideaway.

While all this is going on love blooms between Babe (who is heading the grievance committee) and Sid Sorokin (the handsome new factory superintendent who represents the other side).

West End star Hadley Fraser is playing Sid.  His musical theatre credits include Les Miserables, Pirate Queen and the Fantasticks. He has been performing in several sell out concerts recently  is also a member of the Sheytoons band which he formed with Ramin Karimloo.
