More casting for the tour of Cats which is now in rehearsal to open in Edinburgh next month: Nicholas Pound is playing Old Deuteronomy which is the part originally played by Brian Blessed at the New London Theatre all those years ago.
He has worked in the UK and abroad for the last 25 years and until last week was a founder member of Tres Divos who are an immensely popular singing duo performing pop and opera classics, musicals, soul and swing on the Costa del Sol (where he moved to in 2007).
His stage roles include Jean Valjean in Les Miserables, Peron in Evita, Don Quixote in Man of La Mancha, The Rocky Horror Show, King Richard in Robin, Prince of Sherwood, Molokov in Chess, Peter in Jesus Christ Superstar and Old Deuteronomy in Cats in 1999.
