We Will Rock You to close at end of May

It has just been confirmed that following a twelve year run We Will Rock You will close at the Dominion Theatre on 31st May 2014.  It was booking until 26th April so the period has now been extended by six weeks.

Co-creators Brian May, Roger Taylor and Ben Elton said: "We want to thank every one of the many hundreds of incredible musical theatre artists, musicians and crew with whom we've had the privilege of working at the Dominion since 2002. And of course the incredible audiences who have rewarded them with over four and a half thousand standing ovations!"

We Will Rock You  is the Dominion’s longest running production and is currently the fifth longest-running musical in the West End, and tenth on the all-time list behind shows including Cats, Les Miserables and The Phantom of the Opera.

David Pearson who is the General Manager of the Dominion Theatre has confirmed that it will be restored and refurbished  (long overdue) with an "exciting new production" due to open there in 2015.
