Additional dates have been added to the 30th anniversary tour of Bill Kenwright’s acclaimed production of Willy Russell’s Blood Brothers.
After playing to packed houses across the UK, the tour will now continue into the autumn, opening at G Live in Guildford on Tuesday 29 August.
Featuring former 1970s pop star Lyn Paul returning to the role of Mrs Johnstone 20 years after she first starred in Willy Russell’s much-loved musical, the production also features Dean Chisnall (Shrek The Musical) returning to the role of the Narrator and Sean Jones reprising the role of Mickey he previously played in the West End including as part of the final cast in 2012.
Lyn Paul first won rave reviews for her performance as a mother forced to give up one of her twin sons in 1997, she later returned to the role and featured in the show’s final West End performances at the Phoenix Theatre in 2012.
Presented by Bill Kenwright, who also directs alongside Bob Tomson, the production is designed by Andy Walmsley with sound design by Dan Samson; musical direction by Kelvin Towse and lighting design by Nick Richings.
