The film Bridget Jones's Diary to tour UK with 60-piece live orchestra performing Patrick Doyle's score as the film is screened. The tour starts in November and visits Glasgow, Edinburgh, London, Birmingham and Manchester.
The popular 2001 film is based on the novel of the same by Helen Fielding and follows the neurotic 32 year-old Londoner Bridget Jones (Renee Zellweger) and her love triangle with her boss (played by Hugh Grant) and a disagreeable acquaintance (Colin Firth). It has since grossed over $280million worldwide, saw Zellweger receive an Academy Award nomination and spawned two sequels.
This latest announcement follows similar treatments of movies including Harry Potter, Love Actually, Beauty and the Beast and La La Land.
