It has been announced this morning that former X Factor contestant Shan Ako and newcomer Lily Kerhoas haave been cast in the limited concert engagement of Les Miserables at the Gielgud Theatre.
Ako will play the street urchin, Eponine, while Kerhoas will portray Valjean's ward, Cosette.
They join a previously announced principal cast that includes Michael Ball (Javert), Alfie Boe (Jean Valjean),Carrie Hope Fletcher (Fantine) and Matt Lucas (Thénardier), and Katy Secombe (Madame Thénardier). For three performances a week, the role of Jean Valjean will be played by John Owen-Jones. The production will also feature an orchestra of over sixty-five musicians with a supporting company including Rosanna Bates, Adam Bayjou, Ciarán Bowling, Simon Bowman, Oliver Brenin, Earl Carpenter, Vinny Coyle, Samantha Dorsey, Tamsin Dowsett, Nicola Espallardo, Celia Graham, Barnaby Hughes, Holly-Anne Hull, Oliver Jackson, Christopher Jacobsen, Gavin James, Will Jennings, Ciaran Joyce, Katie Kerr, Sarah Lark, Joanna Loxton, Craig Mather, Stephen Matthews, James Nicholson, Rosa O'Reilly, Claire Parrish, Sophie Reeves, Grainne Renihan, Leo Roberts, Raymond Walsh, Gemma Wardle and Andrew York.
