After performing together in Big the musical last year Jay McGuiness and Kimberley Walsh are to reunite and star as Sam and Annie in Sleepless the Musical at Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre from 24th March with an official opening night on 1st April. It is currently booking until 3rd May.
They are joined by Daniel Casey (DS Troy in Midsomer Murders) as Walter, Harriet Thorpe as Eleanor, Tania Mathurin (Come From Away) as Becky and Jake Sharp as Rob with Charlie Bull, Colin Burnicle, Christie-Lee Crosson, Laura Darton, Leanne Garretty, Matt Holland, Ross McLaren, Gary Murphy, Dominique Planter, Annie Wensak and Benjamin Wong. Theo Collis, Mikey Colville and Jack Reynolds will share the role of Jonah.
Based on iconic romantic comedy film Sleepless in Seattle starring Tom
Hanks and Meg Ryan , Sleepless features a
sparkling jazz-inspired score.When
eight-year-old Jonah phones a Seattle radio show and gets his dad, Sam,
to talk live on air about the heart-breaking loss of his mother, Sam
instantly touches hearts across America. Nearly 3,000 miles
away, journalist Annie starts to ask herself whether Sam could be more
than just a great news story. It looks like love is in the airwaves, but
how do you know if he’s the one for you if you’ve never even met?
Perhaps only a last-minute dash to the top of the Empire State Building
can prove that somewhere there’s someone for everyone...
