Liza, Liza, Liza new play with music by Richard Harris

Liza, Liza, Liza is a new play with music by Richard Harris  (Outside Edge, The Business of Murder) who worked with Liza Minnelli in 1991 when she was in the film adaption of his award winning play Stepping Out.

In his new play directed by Phil Willmott he peels back the veneer on one of Hollywood's most compelling living icons.

The professional and private lives of Liza Minnelli have experienced dizzying highs and crashing lows all ruthlessly captured and sold by the world's media. This new production sees three actors take on the role of Liza Minnelli at specific moments in her life.

It is currently scheduled to play at the Theatre Royal Windsor from 18-22 March and the Yvonne Arnaud at Guildford from 25-29 March.

Liza Minnelli Breaks her Leg in Three Places

Broadway star Liza Minnelli has broken her leg in three places after tripping over one of her pet dogs

She was seen being wheeled around New York City in a wheelchair with her leg in a cast over the weekend. But proving it takes more than a broken leg to keep her down she was carried on by two muscly men and placed in a deckchair as she took to the stage for the Schmoolie & Minnooli concert she was performing on Saturday with Sam Harris as part of the Broadway at Birdland concert series

Liza has already undergone three major surgeries for other injuries endured in the past with  two hip replacements and last year received a new knee. She once described herself as the Tin Man from The Wizard Of Oz on account of all of her injuries.

Liza Minnelli to join panel of Strictly Come Dancing?

According to The Mirror the bosses of Strictly Come Dancing are considering  Liza Minnelli as a replacement for Alesha Dixon, who joined the programme for the last series but did not appeal to the "younger viewers she was brought in to attract" .

The attraction of Miss Minnelli is her international appeal. She has an excellent pedigree as a singer and dancer and is Hollywood through and through. Her experience in musical theatre is unquestionable.

Another rumour  is that  Miss Minnelli would act in an advisory role in the style of choreographer Brian Friedman on The X Factor.
