Tap Dogs’ Adam Garcia Soldiering on

The very macho dance show Tap Dogs about a day in the life of six Australian guys working on construction site is due to open this Tuesday 15th June and run for 12 weeks at the Novello Theatre in London's West End.

It’s a very physical show (80 minutes with no interval) with fast moving sets and spectacular dance routines set to percussion based modern heavy rock, so while listening to Jonathon Ross’ BBC2 radio show yesterday when he was interviewing Adam Garcia was concerned to hear that he had broken his finger. 

Apparently this happened during rehearsals, but don’t worry about the photo opposite as things have changed and the sling is no longer in evidence with Garcia now tapping away with a strapped finger which has to stay that way for 4 weeks.

I have seen the show a couple of times and am aiming to go again because it’s great non-stop entertainment.

Full Cast Announced for Tap Dogs

When the Australian dance show Tap Dogs opens at the Novello Theatre for a limited 12-week season from 5th June to 5th September, the fabulous Adam Garcia will lead the all-male cast. Matthew Papa, Richie Miller, Donovan Helma, Jesse Rasmussen and Jason Lewis.

Dressed in boots and jeans, the six muscular and sexy Tap Dogs tap, stomp, jump and splash their way through a show that offers precision, high energy, and raw and raunchy routines.

Tap Dogs and Adam Garcia back in the West End

Tap Dogs has been seen worldwide by over 11 million people and has won 11 major international awards including an Olivier for Best Choreography.  It is back in London’s West End this summer starring the fabulous Adam Garcia (star of Wicked, Saturday Night Fever and a judge on Sky TV’s dance show Got To Dance).

Tap Dogs is the ultimate visual tap dance spectacular with world-class dancers performing upside down or even on water. It combines the strength and power of workmen with the precision and talent of tap dancing.

It opens at the Novello Theatre on the Aldwych on Tuesday 15th June and is currently booking until 5th September.  Performances are Tuesday to Thursday and Saturday at 8:00 pm, Friday 9:00 pm and matinees on Friday 6:00 pm, Saturday 5:00 pm and Sunday at 3:00 pm
