New Come From Away Cast Members from June

Come From Away welcomes new and returning cast members to the Phoenix Theatre from June 2022.

Kirsty Malpass has returned to the London Come From Away family in the role of Bonnie and others, Olivier Award-nominated Robert Hands returns to the role of Nick/Doug and others, Lejaun Sheppard will play Bob and others, with Sarah Morrison (returning to the production having performed in Come From Away in Australia) and Lucy Park also joining the cast.

They are welcomed by the current London cast who are extending their time with the show beyond June: Jenna Boyd (Beulah and others), James Doherty (Claude and others), Mark Dugdale (Kevin T/Garth and others), Gemma Knight Jones (Hannah and others), Alice Fearn (Beverley/Annette and others), Kate Graham (Diane and others), Jonathan Andrew Hume (Kevin J/Ali and others), Harry Morrison (Oz and others), and Emma Salvo (Janice and others) with Chiara Baronti, Ricardo Castro, Stuart Hickey, Alexander McMorran, Jennifer Tierney and Matthew Whennell-Clark.

Full company announced for reopening of Come From Away on 22nd July.

As the multi award-winning musical  Come From Away prepares to welcome audiences back to the Phoenix Theatre in London from 22 July, the international hit musical has announced two new members of the London cast.  Gemma Knight Jones (Falsettos, Sister Act UK Tour, Hairspray UK Tour, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time) playing Hannah and others, and Sam Oladeinde (Hamilton, The Book of Mormon, A Christmas Carol, The Prince of Egypt) playing Bob and others.

They join the previous London cast of Jenna Boyd (Beulah and others), James Doherty (Claude and others), Mary Doherty (Bonnie and others), Mark Dugdale (Kevin T/Garth and others), Alice Fearn (Beverley/Annette and others), Kate Graham (Diane and others), Alasdair Harvey (Nick/Doug and others), Jonathan Andrew Hume (Kevin J/Ali and others), Harry Morrison (Oz and others), and Emma Salvo (Janice and others) with Chiara Baronti, Ricardo Castro, Stuart Hickey, Sorelle Marsh, Alexander McMorran, Micha Richardson, Jennifer Tierney and Matthew Whennell-Clark.

Come From Away specially adapted staged concert.

The Producers of the multi award winning  Come From Away are  presenting  a specially adapted staged concert at London's  Phoenix Theatre from   Wednesday 10 February – Saturday 27 February 2021 (Monday to Saturday at 7.30pm/Wednesday Matinee performance on the 17 February at 2.30pm/Saturday matinee performances at 2.30pm. (There will also be an invited dress rehearsal performance of the concert, which will be free for key workers to attend on 10 February at 2.30pm Details on how to apply for free tickets to this performance will be announced in January 2021)

The international hit musical celebrated sold-out, record-breaking engagements on Broadway, in Canada, in Australia, on a 60-city North American Tour and recently opened in Sweden.

Rachel Tucker to star in Come from Away on Broadway

Rachel Tucker has just revealed that she will return to Broadway this spring reprising her London role as Beverly Bass in Come From Away from  March 3rd, 2020 replacing Becky Gulsvig, who will play her final performance at the Schoenfeld Theatre on March 1st. Rachel's final performance in  the Phoenix Theatre production is on 8th February with Alice Fearn due to take over the role on the 10th.
Her many theatre credits include: Two (Bridge House Theatre); The Last Ship (Neil Simon Theatre, New York and Bank of America Theatre, Chicago); Communicating Doors (Menier Chocolate Factory); Farragut North (Southwark Playhouse); Wicked (Apollo Victoria Theatre, London and Gershwin Theatre, New York) and We Will Rock You (Dominion). She will headline a special London gala performance of The Pirate Queen at the Coliseum next month.

Come From Away new London cast announced

As Come From Away enters its second year in the West End,  it welcomes new cast members from Monday 10th February 2020.

The new cast of Come From Away in the West End will include Tarinn Callender (Bob and others), James Doherty (Claude and others), Alice Fearn (Beverley/Annette and others) Kate Graham (Diane and others), and Alasdair Harvey (Nick/Doug and others), with Ricardo Castro, Stuart Hickey, Sorelle Marsh, Micha Richardson and Matthew Whennell-Clark.

They join Jenna Boyd (Beulah and others), Mary Doherty (Bonnie and others), Mark Dugdale (taking over the roles of Kevin T/Garth and others), Jonathan Andrew Hume (Kevin J/Ali and others), Harry Morrison (Oz and others), Emma Salvo (Janice and others), Cat Simmons (Hannah and others) and Chiara Baronti, Alexander McMorran and Jennifer Tierney.

David Thaxton joining cast of Come From Away London

David Thaxton is to join the cast of Come From Away at London's Phoenix Theatre taking over the role of Kevin T/Garth and Others from David Shannon from 9th September.

Thaxton is best known for the Phantom of the Opera, as well as his Olivier-winning role in Passion. Other West End credits include Les Misérables, Love Never Dies, and Jesus Christ Superstar.
 
He joins a cast that includes Jenna Boyd (Beulah and others), Nathanael Campbell (Bob and others), Clive Carter (Claude and others), Mary Doherty (Bonnie and others), Robert Hands (Nick, Doug and others), Helen Hobson (Diane and others), Jonathan Andrew Hume (Kevin J, Ali and others), Harry Morrison (Oz and others), Emma Salvo(Janice and others), Cat Simmons (Hannah and others) and Rachel Tucker (Beverley, Annette and others) with Chiara Baronti, Mark Dugdale, Bob Harms, Kirsty Malpass, Tania Mathurin, Alexander McMorran, Brandon Lee Sears and Jennifer Tierney.

The hit musical recently announced an extension to its run in the West End until 15th February 2020.

Come From Away Casting Announcement

The musical Come From Away  which opens at the Phoenix Theatre on 30th January has just held a launch at Canada House with the following cast announcement:

Rachel Tucker (Wicked) will star in the production as Beverley and Annette alongside Jenna Boyd (Wind in the Willows) as Beulah, Nathan Campbell (Guys and Dolls) as Bob, Clive Carter (Wicked) as Claude, Mary Doherty (Henry VI) as Bonnie, Robert Hands (Spamalot) as Nick and Doug, Helen Hobson (Mamma Mia!) as Diane, Jonathan Andrew Hume (The Lion King) as Kevin J and Ali, Harry Morrison (Half a Sixpence) as Oz, Emma Salvo (The Toxic Avenger) as Janice, David Shannon (Les Misérables) as Kevin T and Garth and Cat Simmons (The Bill ) as Hannah.

They will be joined by  Mark Dugdale, Bob Harms, Kiara Jay, Kirsty Malpass, Tania Mathurin, Alexander McMorran, Brandon Lee Sears and Jennifer Tierney.

Come From Away to open at Phoenix Theatre in 2019

According to Baz Bamigboye in today's  Mail, the Tony Award-winning musical Come From Away is heading for London's West End  in 2019 The Phoenix Theatre with an all-British cast.  Chicago the Musical is currently booking there until October.   Prior to the show's London run, it will play at Dublin's Abbey Theatre  from December 2018- January 2019.The official announcement of the show's West End run is set for Canada Day on 2nd July.

COME FROM AWAY is a true story which takes place  in the week following the September 11th attacks and is about what happened  when 38 planes were ordered to land unexpectedly in the small town of Gander, Newfoundland and Labrador, as part of Operation Yellow Ribbon. The characters in the musical are based on (and in most cases share the names of) real Gander residents as well as some of the 7,000 stranded travellers they housed and fed.

COME FROM AWAY features scenic design by Tony Award winner Beowulf Boritt, costume design by Tony Award nominee Toni-Leslie James, lighting design by two-time Tony Award winner Howell Binkley, sound design by Tony Award nominee and Outer Critics Circle Award winner Gareth Owen, orchestrations by Grammy and two-time Tony Award nominee August Eriksmoen, and music arrangements by Grammy Award nominee Ian Eisendrath.

The show continues to play to sold out audiences and features a book, music and lyrics by Grammy and two-time Tony Award nominees and Outer Critics Circle Award and Drama Desk Award winner Irene Sankoff & David Hein, direction by Tony Award winner and Outer Critics Circle Award winner Christopher Ashley, musical staging by two-time Tony Award nominee Kelly Devine, and music supervision by Grammy Award nominee Ian Eisendrath.
