Ramin Karimloo Broadway to Bluegrass Concert

Updated: Broadway to Bluegrass second  show at club 229 Monday November 26th. Tickets on sale Friday, October 5th at 6:00 pm.

West End star Ramin Karimloo is performing his Broadway to Bluegrass … ish concert at Club 229 in London’s Great Portland Street on Sunday 25th November.  The doors open at 7:00 pm and the show starts at 8:00 pm.

The Road to Find Out tour started at the Club 229 with a 'thank you' gig earlier this year before Ramin travelled across the United Kingdom starting at the Royal Festival Hall. He has just got back from the east coast of America with a virtually sold out tour.

Broadway to Bluegrass ...ish is a showcase as to how the show and artist have evolved over the last year. With so much support from the UK whilst over the pond, Ramin with the efforts of Steve Young decided to bring the set back to UK soil for an intimate hootenanny. The Road to Find out becomes What We Found Out in Broadway to Bluegrass ...ish

Ramin Karimloo pulls out of Company in Toronto

Updated 27th October: Ramin Karimloo has said that due to personal circumstances he will no longer be performing in this production.

According to an article in today's Toronto Star it is reported that Ramin Karimloo, the biggest musical star to come from the Greater Toronto Area, might at last be performing there.

If everything works out Karimloo will star as Bobby in Theatre 20’s production of Sondheim's Company in January after the Canadian launch of his debut album Human Heart in August and appearance at the Rose Theatre in Brampton in September. There is also a rumour that Karimloo will be the leading man when the new 25th anniversary tour of Les Misérables eventually arrives in Toronto.

At first I was worried about the idea,” admits Karimloo. “Stephen Sondheim’s music is tough and it scares me. But the kind of things that Bobby deals with I can understand. When I heard that Gary Griffin (the Chicago-based director who has recently staged West Side Story, Evita and 42nd Street at Stratford) was going to be in charge, that helped a whole lot. I knew I had to be a part of it.”

Seems like Ramin could be away from the UK for a while ….?

Ramin Karimloo Houdini Musical put on hold

Ramin Karimloo is currently appearing as Jean Valjean in Les Miserables at the Queens Theatre in London’s West End, he has a new album Ramin due for release in March and then he is doing a concert tour in May. He is also shooting two films this year and hopes there will be further touring of his album to North America.

All this means that the musical adaptation of Houdini he was producing and starring in will not now be happening as he simply doesn’t have the time. It is a new musical which has a book by Hadley Fraser who is in the Sheytoons band with Karimloo

The timing is also wrong now as there is another musical production planned for Broadway starring Hugh Jackman (who is currently in the UK playing Jean Valjean in the Les Miserables movie due for release at the end of this year).
