Les Mis International Tour


Rehearsals for the new touring production of Les Miserables began in London earlier this week.  This international tour will celebrate the 25th anniversary of this show which has become one of the most popular musicals ever written.

The touring cast will be led by Gareth Gates (Marius), John Owen Jones (Jean Valjean), Earl Carpenter (Javert) and Madalena Alberto (Fantine) with the tour kicking off on 11th December at Cardiff’s Wales Millennium Centre, moving on to the Palace theatre Manchester, Theatre Royal Norwich, Birmingham Hippodrome and Edinburgh Playhouse before crossing the Channel to Paris Chatelet where it will run from 26th May to 4th July 2010.

This new production of Les Miserables is directed by Laurence Connor and James Powell. It has a new spectacular set design created by Matt Kinley.

Les Miserables can also be seen in London’s West End at the Queen’s Theatre on Shaftesbury Avenue where it is booking to February 2011.
